Can I get a Bolivia visa in Cusco, Peru?
Yes. Cusco has a Bolivian consulate and our office is right across from it. It's the most convenient option for Salar de Uyuni travelers, since Cusco is a natural stop on the route.
How long does the visa process take in Cusco?
With all documents in hand, processing takes about 30 minutes. If you send documents in advance via WhatsApp or email, picking up your visa takes around 10 minutes.
What documents do I need for a tourist visa?
Generally: valid passport (minimum 6 months), passport-size photo with white background, travel itinerary, hotel reservation, proof of funds (bank statement), and yellow fever vaccination certificate if your route requires it.
Do I need a visa before visiting Salar de Uyuni?
Yes, if your nationality requires one. It's best to process it in Cusco before crossing into Bolivia. This avoids delays, fines, or entry problems at the Desaguadero or Villazón border.
